Today I present two prizes. For their continued (and likely to be long-lived) fight against ignorance:
The New Scientist – My favourite periodical. Sometimes, but not often, it gets the facts wrong and on very rare occasions the science inside it is poor. Unlike religion though, the errors are acknowledged and newer, better informed research is published and the world becomes a wiser place. http://www.newscientist.com/
Paul Zachary Myers – Evolution lover and detractor of religious bigots and zealotry worldwide and author of Pharyngula featured in last week’s New Scientist. Healthy helpings of scepticism!
I salute these winners! The New Scientist receives my continued annual subscription while P.Z. Myers wins a mention on this learned blog.
